A pleasant surprise was the planter is much lighter than I had imagined. Orchids work perfectly for this planter. The leaves are celebrated by the metal ring and don’t cover the planter too much to enjoy the planter itself. The beautiful blossoms shoot upward. The orchids are still in their plastic planters as the roots like to be contained. When I water the water runs straight through collecting in the saucer below. Such a unique planter that draws a lot of attention and compliments.
This is the 4th painted terracotta planter I’ve purchased and the third funnel desigm. They work great! Easy to assemble — just pick your plant plant it directly in the planter or set a pot inside the terracotta pot. Then place the pot and saucer in the metal frame. Attach the metal “S” hook to the top and hang. I was worried about the weight as I potted directly into the pot this time. I then hung it from my curtain rod. No problem. Not even a sag and that was after I watered. I decided a Silver Satin Pothos would look best. I couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out.
