Having access to clean water transforms people's lives in massive ways, and this fact is the inspiration and driving force behind the non-profit charity: water.
charity: water's mission is to "bring clean water to every person on the planet", and they've been living up to it, too. Since 2006, they've partnered with rural communities across 29 countries to bring clean water, hygiene, and improved sanitation to more than 16.8 million people. Today, they have active projects in 22 countries in sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia.
We believe deeply in charity: water's mission and values, and as a company founded on a strong desire to make an impact far beyond our homes, we are thrilled to be a Water Project Sponsor. In October 2023, with your help, we raised funds for a new water project!
For every $100+ order placed this past October, we donated $20 to charity: water.
100% of EVERY dollar we donate will go toward funding water projects at Cambodian schools that will transform the lives of the children, their families, and their entire community.
Our goal was to donate at least $10,000—the cost of one school's water point—and thanks to you we exceeded our goal! We raised $14,320 that will go toward helping Cambodian children and their communities access clean, fresh water!
We'll provide ongoing water project updates in the months to come as charity: water partners with local teams to begin planning and construction.
It improves health, increases access to food, helps kids stay in school, and can even boost local economies. Yet, 703 million people still live without clean water. The majority live in isolated, rural areas and can spend hours each day walking to collect water that’s not safe to drink. This is one of the greatest challenges our planet faces, but there’s good news. The global water crisis is solvable in our lifetime.
charity: water began with a bold promise: 100% of public donations would fund clean water projects. From day one, they've relied on a small group of generous private donors and key brand partners to fund their operating expenses.
The work doesn’t end when a water point is constructed. Through local leaders, innovative sensor technology, and trained mechanics, charity: water is committed to taking care of the projects they've built and keeping clean water flowing without interruption.
