How to compost and recycle: The nylon bristles are not compostable or recyclable, and we recommend putting them inside another container to ensure they don't fall out of the trash and wind up in the environment. The bristles are held in with metal staples, which could be recycled if you remove them from the handle. Alternatively, you can simply saw off the top of the brush, compost the handle, and put the head part in the garbage.
